Tina Wing, owner of Tina Wing Art and Co-Owner of Blush Cherry Gallery and Studios uses Shop Where I Live to sell upcoming art classes. By selling her classes through Shop Where I Live, she can focus on what she does best, art. Tina can easily duplicate a past classes, edit the details for the new class, and have her new art class set up for registration within minutes.
She uses our simple product type for the class, and makes it ‘virtual’ as there’s nothing that needs to be shipped to the purchaser. This eliminates the shipping address on the checkout page.
Tina updates the date/time of the class in the short description, and keeps the long description standard as those details remain the same for each class. She enters the price for the class, edits the inventory for the number of students she can seat, and changes the image to the new artwork for that date.
Once finished she publishes the product and grabs the link to send out to her following announcing the new upcoming class. Participants register for the classes and Tina gets a notification for ever order. She can also create a product add-on if she wants to track any additional information like student’s name and more.
Additional benefits for selling through Shop Where I Live is that Tina can also sell her original artwork through the site. Students registering for the classes can explore other classes offered or purchase something else available in her shop. Tina also has a non-e-commerce product on the site. Her Private Painting Party product allows visitors to request private classes through our ‘Send Inquiry’ button. This eliminates the ‘add to cart’ button and allows them to directly email Tina about that specific product.
I have been extremely pleased with the shopwhereilive.com website and also with the staff. They have gone above and beyond to help me understand how to use the site and to make it most beneficial for my business. I have had many referrals and orders from the site, so I know that it works! I think this is a great site for any business, large or small! – Tina Wing
