Owner, Steph Stolzman of Steph’s Boutique on our Grundy Center site, utilizes Shop Where I Live to sell her original products online. Steph designs trendy t-shirts with fun sayings, and has a large social media following that awaits her newest designs. Every few weeks Steph has new designs that she adds to her shop, and she then puts the links to the new designs on her social media, and her fans come and purchase their favorites.
Steph utilizes our “on sale” countdown, that creates a sense of urgency among her customers once the designs are first released. Offering a discount of just a few dollars, customers make their purchases right away to ensure they receive the extra incentive for ordering early. Steph then takes all of the first orders and places a bulk order with her fulfillment company on all of the exact sizes that were ordered in the original round.
Prior to utilizing Shop Where I Live, Steph was having her customers specify the item, size, and their email address in the comments of her social media post. She’d then generate custom invoices to customers to have them pay for what they commented. While this was working a lot of the time, there were still several invoices outstanding, along with having to sort through the customer’s comments, and then create the individual orders afterwards. Having a link where customers could just purchase what they want helps to save time and ensure those that want the products pay for their orders right away.
